I enjoyed researching Louisa Smith and reexamining the facts of the case. Looking back at them through 21st century eyes was fascinating and very disheartening. Because Louisa was a prostitute, not much was done to solve her murder. One of the key witnesses (whose perspective I used to write my solution) was never even questioned.
